ESR7 – Divya Virmani (NANOGUNE)

Background: Near-field Optics, Plasmonics

Profile: Divya Virmani obtained her Bachelor’s from the University of Delhi, India and her Master’s degree from the University of Stuttgart, Germany. Divya carried out her Master’s thesis in Max Planck Institute of solid-state research in Stuttgart during which she studied plasmon-polariton propagation at the interface of single crystalline gold nanostructures via scattering type scanning near field optical microscopy.  She is currently working as a pre-doctoral fellow at Prof. Rainer Hillenbrand’s Nanooptics group at CIC nanoGUNE, San Sebastian, Spain

ETN Topic: Enhanced chemical-sensitive infrared scattering scanning near field optical microscopy (s-SNOM)
