Background: Materials Science and Engineering (Polymers Chemistry)
Profile: Sofia Drakopoulou obtained her Master Degree in Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Ioannina (Greece). Along her studies and activities she has been focusing on: (i) synthesis and characterization of low band-gap conjugated polymers based on diketopyrrolopyrrole (DPP) for organic photovoltaic applications; (ii) synthesis of hydrogels containing simultaneously electronic and ionic conductivity (Department of Bioelectronics, École Nationale Supérieure des Mines de Saint-Étienne, France – supervisor Ass. Prof. Ismailova Esma). Under the supervision of Prof. Fabio Biscarini (University of Modena and Reggio Emilia), she is now working within the SPM 2.0 project, on the deposition, patterning, electrical characterization and morphological analysis (by means of AFM both environmental and in liquid) of organic conductive and semi-conductive materials
