ESR5 – Simone Benaglia (ICMM)

Background:Biotechnology, Biophysics, Nano-biochemistryy

Profile: Simone Benaglia obtained his Master degree in Industrial Biotechnology at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (UNIMORE). Simone’s master thesis was concerning the developing and electrical and chemical characterization of biomedical devices. At the moment, he is working at Prof. Ricardo Garcia’s Forcetool group at the Instituto de Ciencia de Materiales de Madrid (ICMM-CSIC) with a Marie Curie fellowship, within SPM 2.0 project. He is applying multifrequency Atomic Force Microscopy techniques in order to study the topography and nanomechanical properties of polymers and biomolecules in liquid environment

ETN Topic: Compositional mapping of soft matter in air/liquid environment by multifrequency force microscopy
